Open IoT Lab of ICFOSS deployed an automated Rain Gauge at Technopark in 2018 as a Proof of concept IoT device working on LoRa WAN. The updated rain gauge works out of battery since August 2019. This low power device working on LoRa WAN is expected to have a battery life of 3 years and transmits data to a gateway within 5km radius. The data from this rain gauge shall be viewed at rg1.icfoss.org. User can select various time ranges (selection on top right side) from the displayed graph. ICFOSS offers technical support for design and implementation of such solutions customised for various requirements.
